    Knowing Independently

Think only about what you WANT.During this month of Aquarius we seek TO KNOW, and during this 10-day period we find ourselves influenced to find ways to become Independent with our Knowing... to follow our own Path to knowledge through seeking the answers to our own questions.

I often think that our questions are more important than the answers we find.  When we have a question about ourselves and/or our world we open ourselves for the Universe to provide an answer.  When we learn to question everything... especially our own understanding... then we are always open for new instruction.

It would seem that it is true, then, as Nancy Willard says: "Sometimes questions are more important than answers."

What’s been on your mind recently?  Do you have a question you’re wondering about?

Even though I try to continually look for questions and their answers, there are times when I've run out of questions and seem to stop asking for more because I'm comfortable with where I'm at.   When things get too comfortable, however, something always happens to shake up my world and get me thinking again.

My teacher, Father Eli, used to say…
    “No problems… no thinking
    No thinking… no questions
    No questions… no answers”

Every problem that arises brings with it contrast.  A contrasting situation brings about a dual awareness both of what we DON’T WANT and of what we DO WANT.

When your focus is upon the problem, you feel bad.  When your focus is upon the solution, you feel good.

When Source Energy flows through us, we feel good.  When we’ve pinched it off – even just a little – we feel bad.

If we pay attention to how we feel – and care about feeling good – then we can always tell whether we’re allowing Source Energy to flow through us or not.

“Any moment of tension or unhappiness is caused by some emotional pattern that needs to be examined if we are to reach perfection.”
    ~ Father Eli (1916-1983)

We are taught, in the Druidic Craft, that we are born into this life with a certain set of weaknesses to overcome and a certain set of strengths to acquire, and the events in our lives are such to teach us about these qualities within ourselves.

By thinking about and meditating on the daily influence of Father Sun’s journey through the constellations we are thereby able to see his influence in our own daily life. From this contemplation we can learn how to wisely improve our own character, and thereby increase our magical abilities.

Through the natural Law of Cause and Effect we learn either to repeat rewarded thoughts and actions, or to avoid further punishment by making other choices.  Like good parents, the Creators teach us by this means to grow into Their likeness until we achieve our destiny of becoming magical creators in our own right.

The most likely reason for existence is that we are growing into this perfection.

Do you care about improving your character?
Do you think about how you might become more loving?

If your prayers or magical work is powered by LOVE,
do you think it would improve your abilities if you did?

    It’s worth thinking about…

    WHERE'S YOUR ATTENTION?

"Only one thing has to change for us to know happiness in our lives: where we focus our attention."
    ~ Greg Anderson

What do you usually focus on: problems or solutions?

When our mind dwells on a problem, we stay stuck.  Woe is me!  But when we can shift to ask how we might achieve a solution to our problem, our subconscious mind, thinking and creativity move into gear. New possibilities open up.

Get in the habit of asking for solutions!

"Every choice moves us closer to or farther away from something. Where are your choices taking your life? What do your behaviors demonstrate that you are saying yes or no to in life?"
